Decent value, minor setup issue

I signed up for a Business Phone Number and used the Mobile App for Android. The call quality was good, and the SMS Business Texting worked reliably. I liked having all my business communication in one place. The pricing was competitive, especially with the annual billing discount I got. However, integrating it with my existing CRM (HubSpot) took a bit more effort than I expected. The instructions were a little vague in one or two spots, but customer support eventually helped me out. Overall, a good system for a small business, but be prepared for a bit of tinkering if you have complex integrations.

Consistent service as always

This is my third year using Quo, formerly OpenPhone, for my business. I originally signed up for a Local Phone Number and added Team Messaging last year. This time, I needed to set up an Auto-Attendant for a new venture. The process was straightforward, just like my previous experiences. The reliability has always been a major plus; I've never had issues with dropped calls or missed texts. Their customer service has been consistent too, quick to respond when I had a question about setting up the IVR Menus. It's why I keep coming back.

i'm thinking of paying annually for the discount. is it worth it or should i stick to monthly for flexibility?

S Shane 3 weeks ago
If you're committed to using it long-term, the annual discount is definitely worth it. I think it saves you like 15-20%. I switched after my trial and haven't looked back.

I went with annual because I knew I'd be using it for at least a year. The savings add up. But if you're unsure, monthly gives you that wiggle room.

thinking about switching from ringcentral. anyone here done that? how does Quo compare, especially for a small team?

M Mike Kaur 1 month ago
I moved my small business from RingCentral to Quo a few months ago. Honestly, Quo's interface is way cleaner and easier to manage for team numbers. RingCentral felt a bit clunky for what we needed.

My buddy uses Quo and loves the shared inbox for texts. Makes it super easy to keep track of conversations across the team. Never used RingCentral myself though.

i'm based in New York, will the service be reliable there? any latency or call quality issues in big cities?

A Anna B. 1 month ago
I'm in Brooklyn and haven't had any issues with call quality. It's all internet-based so as long as your internet is good, you should be fine.

Using it in Chicago, no complaints about reliability. Calls are clear. Works well on both desktop and mobile apps.

hey, is the free trial actually useful, like full features or is it super limited?

M Mike 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty much everything. I signed up for the 7-day trial last month and got to play around with all the call routing and texting stuff. No weird limitations.

Can confirm, it's a full-featured trial. Enough time to see if it fits your workflow.

can i really use my business number on my personal cell phone without giving out my personal number? how does that work?

D Derek 3 weeks ago
Yep, that's exactly how it works. You install their app on your phone, and all your business calls and texts go through that. Your personal number stays private. It's great for work-life separation.

It's an app on your phone. Like having a second phone line within an app. No one sees your personal number ever.
